LEGAL INFORMATION

Privacy policy

This is a translation provided for convenience. The French version is the only legally binding text. In the event of any discrepancy between the two, the French version prevails.

1. Data controller

The controller for the data collected on this site is AXENEO, Société par actions simplifiée (SAS), whose registered office is at 44 rue des Lanvaux, 77700 Magny-le-Hongre, France.

Contact for any question relating to personal data: contact@axeneo.com.

No data protection officer has been appointed to date: requests relating to personal data are handled directly by the controller.

2. Data collected and purposes

This site collects only the data strictly necessary for it to function.

Contact form

  • Data collected: first name, last name, organisation, work email address, phone (optional), subject of the enquiry, message content.
  • Purpose: to handle and answer your enquiry, and where applicable to continue the commercial discussion that follows from it.
  • Legal basis: your consent, given when the form is submitted (article 6.1.a GDPR), and AXENEO’s legitimate interest in answering an enquiry it has received.
  • Mandatory fields: the fields marked as required are necessary to handle the enquiry. Without them, it cannot be processed.

Application form

  • Data collected: first name, last name, email address, phone (optional), main area of expertise, level of experience, LinkedIn profile (optional), CV.
  • Purpose: to consider your application and, where applicable, to continue the recruitment process. Your data is not used for any other purpose.
  • Legal basis: your consent, given when the form is submitted (article 6.1.a GDPR), and AXENEO’s legitimate interest in considering an application it has received.
  • CV: the document you send is not stored on the site’s server. It is attached to the message sent to AXENEO and then deleted from the server once that message has gone.

Technical data

  • Server logs: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, user agent. This data is produced automatically by the host.
  • Anti-spam protection: the IP address is used temporarily to limit the number of form submissions. No third-party service and no CAPTCHA is used.
  • Legal basis: AXENEO’s legitimate interest in ensuring the security and availability of the site (article 6.1.f GDPR).

3. Cookies and audience measurement

This site sets no cookies

In its current configuration, this site sets no cookie on your device — no technical cookie, no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie. Nor does it use browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB), and it loads no script from a third-party domain.

That is why you are not shown a consent banner: with no tracker of any kind, the consent required by article 82 of the French Data Protection Act has no object.

This statement can be checked: your browser’s developer tools (the Application or Storage tab) should show no cookie for this domain. It is also verified automatically at every release.

What is not a cookie but is still recorded

The host keeps technical connection logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent), needed for security and incident diagnosis. These logs do not rely on cookies and are not used for any profiling. Their retention period is given in section 6.

When the contact form is submitted, your IP address is held in memory, temporarily, to limit the number of submissions and prevent abuse. It is neither stored persistently nor attached to your enquiry.

If audience measurement were introduced

No analytics tool is active to date. Were AXENEO to introduce one, the following rules would apply:

  • no measurement script would be loaded before your consent had been obtained, through a dedicated banner offering refusal as simply as acceptance;
  • refusal would be recorded and respected, and you could change your mind at any time from this page;
  • this policy would be updated to state the tool chosen, the purpose pursued, the data collected and the retention period of any cookies set.

Configuring your browser

Independently of this site, you can configure your browser to refuse cookies, to be notified of them, or to delete those already stored. How to do so varies by browser and is set out in its help menu. Refusing cookies has no effect whatsoever on browsing this site, which does not use them.

For more detail, the CNIL publishes a guide on trackers: www.cnil.fr (opens in a new tab).

4. Recipients of the data

Data submitted through the form is sent only to the people at AXENEO responsible for handling incoming enquiries.

It may be processed by the following technical subprocessors:

  • Site host: OVH SAS (2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France) — hosting and server logs.
  • Email provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland) — routing and storage of messages.

No data is sold, rented or transferred to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

The site and its technical logs are hosted within the European Union. The entities AXENEO contracts with for email and hosting are established in the European Union.

The email service does, however, belong to a group whose parent company is established in the United States. Access from a third country cannot therefore be entirely ruled out, and it is governed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

6. Retention periods

  • Contact enquiries: three years from the last exchange, then deletion or anonymised archiving.
  • Applications: two years from the last contact, in line with the CNIL’s recommendation on recruitment, then deletion.
  • Server logs: twelve months at most.
  • Anti-spam data: one hour at most (held in memory, not persisted).

7. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Exchanges with the form are encrypted in transit. Access to the mailboxes is protected by multi-factor authentication.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability in respect of your data.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@axeneo.com, setting out your request. You will receive a reply within one month.

If, having contacted us, you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr (opens in a new tab).

9. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or technical developments. The date it was last updated appears at the foot of this page.
